XP cd in drive. Thanks tom got through all the steps and still no start up page? well the first thing i see after i see my intel motherboard splashscreen, is an error screen (not blue, its black) that says there was an error and if i wanted Ali I got the message for unmounted boot volume and I did the chkdsk /p.
- When it wanted me to select a drive to do a repair on instead I got to c: base directory and ran the following dos command: Chkdsk c: /p /r this
