No Sound After Downgrading Vista To XP SP3 On HP Pavilion DV4
BSA - I still have the problem here and I've spent ~15 hrs (even with Dell Support) trying to fix this.I have a Dell Vostro running XP, SP3. Note: The only one that is NOT loaded is the ACPI driver which handles sleep/hibernation/screen dimming/fan speed adjustment. And now I want to downgrade it but sound drivers r not available. I shall bookmark your blog for future reference. his comment is here

- Install drivers9.
- I can hear sound if my speaker is turned ON but not through my earphone jack.
Didn't seem to be that important (caveat - I don't care about the modem working) and I have sound back for the first time in a long time using the SP2 http://newwikipost.org/topic/7lrAimFmyutWkcs7pSrnLDIN83iFjqHG/quot-No-Audio-Device-quot-after-downgrading-from-Vista-to-XP.html I coud get the wifi driver but not the ethernet card drivers. Though while doing the troubleshooting, I'd understood the problem, but was not sure how to get the solution for SP3 which was already update on my XP system. Thanks for the Support. Please So I made it to uninstall and reinstall the driver evertime it reboots...If you log off and log on then no sound again.
after 2 sleepless nights i am in dire need for help: >> Download this software : kb888111xp2.exethe link to it doesnt work, and most other searches lead to rather dubious torrent this content I have successfully installed Xp and loaded all the drivers. I have WinXP running, all devices working perfectly. For further assistances, u can contact me on my phone number. +919826466860.
This can only be installed after having reinstalled kb888111xpsp2. The idt.bat file should contain the following lines:Find the actual device ID from YOUR computer by right-clicking on the UAA listing on the Device Manager and copy and paste it in I went to the download site where theres the file WDM148.zip and it wasn't compatible a I have Toshiba Satellite L45 S4687 Laptop, and i have downgraded from Vista to XP weblink Interesting that this seems to work for some users and not others.
It sounds like there are a ton of problems with Sigmatel drivers... Please help!! As I said before, it takes some time, and the first screen I saw was the one to select the partition.
I have tried adding drivers to the XP installation file but no luck.
I have a Thinkpad T61 running Windowz XP SP3. nothing which suggests an actual device though. brings music to my ears. (literally) a MILLION thanks. Yellow exclamation mark.
Does it have to do something with the AHCI controller? tq Reply Report ateeq› BANDIT - May 10, 2009 01:03AM hi hw ru??? u can get sound after u downgraded to XP from Vista. check over here Everything installed fine, except my sound card, which isn't even detected by Windows.
If you leave the Vista back up hiding on the hard drive it will "screw" with your Xp OS (blue screens etc;) Reply Report CHRISLNGUYEN 4Posts Tuesday March 10, 2009Registration date It worked perfectly. The kb888111.exe can be downloaded from Cnet - just search for it. I copied them from post no. 5 from the link suggested in the post above. Just unrar this drivers with winrar.Be sure also that You are using WinXP SP2 version.
