2nd Thread No Reply Please Help 'PC Freezing'
CPU Upgrade Causing BSOD, Freezes, and Shutdowns....PLEASE HELP solved XFX HD7950 gettinq too hot! If I reloaded a browser tab I was guaranteed to freeze my PC. I got 840 SSD thinking I have an HDD issue, no way the same problem kept happening all over again. Well known common cause for instability is video drivers.... this content
That's enough testing from me though, 6 hours just to install Windows (wasn't even a hardware fault!) was a bit irritating! Help. Finally, one last desperate search later, I came across this thread and in the same search this page suggesting two methods I hadn't tried. Please refer to our CNET Forums policies for details.

After that I ran the command prompt commands from above again, and did a quick scan with Windows Defender. I tend to stream FPS games. Problem only happened after restart -- this appears to be true for others in this thread.
- I followed your guide and the AU is working for me.
- Closed all programs besides Open Broadcaster and the game I am trying to stream.
- We need more people like you all, posting valuable information and not just problems but solutions instead.

I would think you want the most or current hive, not the last one you booted. other WHAT MUST I DO TO SOLICIT SUPPORT TO FIX UP YOUR F-UP? I could not troubleshoot with task manager when it happened, because it happened so sporadically, and once my machine locked up, I could not open task manager in time to see

Installed the new KB3176493 patch that appeared on Windows Update (This patch alone, even after a few reboots, didn't solve the problem) Removed the two existing Intel Management Engine drivers listed Everytime I pressed ctrl+alt+supr, a black screen appeared and after like 1 minute dissapear doing nothing. After reviewing the items that were corralled by sandboxie, it appears a lot of stuff was trying to load back onto FF, some of which was even for Chrome...?
I was using an SSD for the boot drive and a HDD for storage, including default save location for Windows Apps as well as Documents, Pictures, etc. unfortunately where I had a BSOD I now have a gently whirring fan and an unresponsive black screen. Rolling back has stopped my freezing issues (unlike some other unfortunate users), so I'm gonna wait it out. Curiously, I still experience the slowness when writing this message, but not in general.
Adjusted broadcaster settings from 60fps down to 30fps, same problem. Others say that they changed the sata mode from AHCI to IDE which is wrong because SSD will only work on its best performance in AHCI mode. Click, advanced options, then click rollback to previous build, then follow the steps from there. The symptom has not recurred in weeks.
