But it's a good place to start if you find yourself stuck at the splash screen and can't figure out what to do next.While we're on the subject of troubleshooting, here Currently there is an icon that is planted in the upper right of my screen that is always on top.
the computer boots in safe mode, so I did that and used msconfig to try different boot modes. but im still only learning. If a driver is identified in the Stop message, disable the driver or check with the manufacturer for driver updates. Thanks!
At one point, it got past the windows splash screen, to a light blue Windows XP screen: "Checking file system on C: The type of the file system is NTFS.
