In Internet Explorer I type ‘My Computer' in the address bar and it shows the drives, including the USB drive (M:). It will also happen if you are on a network and have mapped drives. thought I should throw away the USB - so glad I didn't! After reading the article, you solved the problem.

To see if your issue is similar to mine, unplug the lead from the power supply for a couple of minutes after uninstalling all USB devices as described above.
